The minimum wage (and multiples thereof) is the baseline for which all other salaries are based. Production Laborers have been the victims of a 20 year wage fixing/racketeering scam only getting a 6% increase in purchasing power while corporate profit margins increased by 140% from 1990 to 2005. From July to November 2010 corporate profits were $1.66 Trillion! How is your paycheck keeping pace with that if you have one? In Denmark the minimum wage is $18/hour. The labor department stated the 1962 minimum wage paid today is $24/hour. Our labor is a commodity that we sell to employers in return they cheat and deflate wages by illegal and immoral means. Doing that to a company is racketeering; doing it to laborers is BUSINESS AS USUAL.
