“The principal of spending money to be paid by future generations, under the name of funding, is but swindling futurity on a large scale.”
Thomas Jefferson
Before the war on tariffs we were a very prosperous country actually the most prosperous country in the world! Our industrial policy was based on Alexander Hamilton’s industrial policy and worked fabulously from 1780-1980 until Ronald Regan then daddy Bush and Clinton destroyed it. From the Civil War to WWI our international tariff on trade was set at 35%. Look at how the U.S. had grown then and look at us now.
Brazil today has an import fee of 35%, they have copied what made us great and it’s working for them. Next they are proposing a 50% import fee. GM and Ford have gotten the message and is now making their cars in Brazil creating good paying jobs.
China has a 22% import tariff. And national health care.
LET WALL STREET PAY for MAIN STREET
Remember the money is not only going to China it goes to the American companies as well. We the people must make the rules for corporations to follow. It’s a matter of government trade policy. Bad federal policy makes bad behaving companies both domestic and foreign. We must take the money out of politics.
Regan stopped enforcing the Sherman Anti Trust Act and no President has enforced it since NAFTA passed in 1994. This action has put the government/corporate war against the middle class on steroids.
A LITTLE HISTORY
The founders did not create a corporate dictatorship. They fought against the bank and corporations. The worst offender in those days was the East India Company. Actually with England nosing in again English free trade was one of the reasons for the Civil War. Did you ever wonder why England supported the South?
In December of 1600 Queen Victoria signed the East India Company into creation. The colonies were corporations. Virginia was created by King James as a corporation. That’s why the place was called Jamestown.
I use emotion for the many and reserve reason for the few. ~ Adolph Hitler
First let me give thanks to Webster Griffin Tarpley for information in this article, he is most knowledgeable and always a straight shooter.
Who are the people in the Tea Party? The Tea Party is changing from what they were a year ago yet the change is not unique. In my first article on the Tea Party I warned them not to be infiltrated and taken over but that’s what has happened. And yes there are good people in the Party.
Let me first state what I agree with them on. Replace the 16th and 17th Amendments. Replace the 16th with a fair tax and impose import taxes. As for the 17th Amendment just repeal it and go back as it is written originally in the Constitution.
That said as with things like this the subject is always a mix of good ideas and bad. Therefore we must not get hung up on the noise in the media but keep a sharp eye on history and look for foundational and functional changes, but mostly watch for changes in its character.
Let’s start with the takeover by the likes of the Koch brothers. The Koch brothers fund the CATO Institute; Libertarian? I think not. The filthy rich hate the government because it tells them they can’t do certain things they want to do. They install this in the Party members. The mantra of the rich is that they know better and they should be the only ones to make the rules as they go along, that the people should have no say in their present conditions economic or otherwise. These are the same types and groups of business people you saw in the 1930’s that spout not only economic but philosophical mandates as well.
These groups as in the 1930’s were pro Mussolini supporting fascism and Hitler for a total control police state with the attending corporations protected dictating laws to Congress and the courts; rabidly anti-union, hating Roosevelt, hating the New Deal, demanding special privilege for themselves while raising private armies of mercenaries. Not unlike as when Henry Ford created one around his plants. Today we have the Blackwater army. These wage gouging anti-union, middle class destroyers see a future of old world feudalism with the boot heel of fascism on the necks of the people always propped up by the global plantation of cheap labor free from any rules that would make life livable for employees that are reduced to little more than slaves, wage-slaves actually.
This is all reminiscent of groups such as the Liberty League which was pro-fascist, pro NAZI, anti-union. Let us also not forget the hidden hand of wealthy families with their foundations and trusts that secretly fund these groups, but it doesn’t stop there. You also have para-military and private police cropping up; just as in the past with groups such as The Silver Shirts, The Sentinels of the Republic, the Brown Shirts. Groups as these supported Mussolini, Hitler and were sympathetic to the philosophies of the AXIS. You see this rising today with so called private armies such as Blackwater.
This is a throughback to neo-feudalism. The flaw in their thinking is that they reject as Webster Griffin Tarpley says, the Modern State. What they miss is that if they reject the Modern State they will get what was before the Modern State which was feudalism but today will be neo-feudalism and that will be more unspeakably horrific in many ways along the spectrum.
THE WORLD BEFORE THE MODERN STATE
What the world was like before the Modern State were kings, lords, barons, dukes and everyone else were serfs. England became a Modern State in the late 1480’s under King Henry VII who defeated King Richard III as is so eloquently stated in Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of King Richard the Third A horse, a horse! My kingdom for a horse! Pathetic and arrogant, the hunchbacked villain-king Richard III is about to meet his doom at the hands of the future Henry VII. When Richard is killed the guy who takes over is the Earl of Richmond Henry VII and he creates a Modern State which is explicitly against the feudal Nobility. This monarchy was based entirely on the middle class towns and cities meaning those who produce and trade as opposed to those who make their money and get their power from private warfare which was the paradigm and way of the old aristocracy, France as well with King Louie who copied Italy and established a Modern State.
Meanwhile the feudal spoiled class goes nuts and creates a group called the League of the Public Good run by the Duke of Burgundy (not the Duke of Earl Ha, Ha). They then waged a civil war against Louie XI who eventually wipes them out.
Back to England this process of getting rid of these people was brought to a head by the Wars of the Roses where most of the Nobility killed each other off and the 100 years war between England and France which eliminated a lot of them on both sides. This then through all this turmoil brought us the Modern State.
PARALELLS TO THE 1930’s BETWEEN THE REPUBLICANS AND THE TEA PARTIES
Back then there existed groups such as The Foundation for Economic Education FFEE, the Liberty League, The National Association of Manufactures and of course The U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Sound familiar? These were the front line groups of the Roosevelt hating, pro-Wall Street neo & pro fascist outfits. What we are seeing today is the rebirth of this ideology going back to Jimmy Carter’s employee killing, family destroying Airline Deregulation Act. Since then there has been a steady march by all the Presidents and Congress’ to bring us to this point. So the things heard in the 1930’s are again said today but have more influence partly because Obama consistently generates waves of revulsion and disgust everywhere even with his once a upon a time supporters.
The lesson to be learned here is if you hated Bush so much that you were taken in by activist Obama and now you hate Obama so much that you’ll fall for the next clown I urge you to stop and not to be duped by these puppets and learn to think and look who’s pulling the strings of all these people. Don’t fall for these things you see as they are trying to draw you into giving over your emotions and hopes to such phonies. Rather learn from the experience and realize that the change they promise is probably not a good one for you. Be skeptical, get for yourself that hard and fast checklist and if these people don’t make it through your checklist chuck ‘em but first learn how to make a good checklist founded on the cold reality of truth, hard truth. At the very least never trust politicians and so called leaders, they’re snake oil salesmen. Always save your ability to judge their actions and protect your individuality. Never give your hope to them and this way you’ll always have and can be proud of your identity, self worth, and your dignity when your need it to fall back on, believe me this protection will make your landing a soft one and no one can ever break your spirit.
“The people never give up their liberties, but under some delusion.” ~ Edmund Burke
These days there are a lot of misinterpretations of the Constitution. You see it even in the Supreme Court with the Citizens United ruling and the ruling several years ago that gave Wal-Mart eminent domain to tear down houses to build a store. The reason given was the public uses Wal-Mart property. That reason has nothing to do with eminent domain because Wal-Mart is not part of the commons owned and bought by the people.
As to the Tea Party Webster Griffin Tarpley noticed something concerning the enumerated powers stated in the Constitution. I first took notice of this during the tax protest movement of the 1990’s. I agree with his observation.
In the Tea Party and elsewhere there is this idea going around about the enumerated powers and since as Webster points out the Obama group has a contempt for the Constitution its then up to those like him to point this out.
Their line goes something like this that most of the things the Federal Government does is unconstitutional because it is outside the scope of the enumerated powers.
Something important to note here Webster caught it that there was no complaint under Bush this misuse when it was a question of civil liberties, dictatorships or foreign wars but now it does as it pertains to economic depression and how the average man is systematically being stripped of his wealth. Their doctrine goes something like this that if it is not stated in the enumerated powers the government can’t do it period. Well let’s look at the Constitution.
Article I Section 8 has the enumerated powers which are 17 things Congress has the power to do. The enumerated club or theory says that’s all Congress is able to do. Anything that’s not included on that list is unconstitutional and prohibited. It is imperative to understand that is never the way the Constitution has been interpreted nor was its intent. You see after those 17 paragraphs that say what the Congress shall have the power to do there is the 18th paragraph which we call the elastic clause which is the most sweeping clause of all the powers clauses. The clause reads: “To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.”
Well what could be those other powers be? The answer to that is contained within the preamble which states the purpose of the Federal Government including the “more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessing of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
The founding fathers realized they could not encompass everything or every situation that would come up in the future; situations or circumstances that the 17 clauses or enumerated powers could not cover. They wrote the 18th to include any remedy necessary to preserve what is stated in the preamble and is therefore open-ended.
Most people are unaware of this even those in the Tea Party who proclaim the Constitution; their ignorance of the Constitution is quite appalling. Now because of that what we are seeing is a radical attitude that according to Tarpley and I agree is to impose an interpretation of the Constitution which is pre civil rights era, pre New Deal, pre Populist era, pre Civil War and actually pre Jeffersonian. It’s a view of the Constitution as it never functioned. For example Jefferson was a true believer in the enumerated powers theory. As I was taught in school years ago Jefferson broke with the enumerated powers section of the Constitution to make the Louisiana Purchase from the French. This was a once in a lifetime chance so Jefferson ignored those 17 and went with the 18th clause to close the deal. The 18th clause comes under inherent powers.
The United States is a sovereign nation and so needs flexibility capable to fulfill its needs or it is not a sovereign state. Without the 18th clause the country would not be able to get out of depression and would guarantee dictatorship and war. For example we need a recovery program but the crackpot fringe screams that’s not part of the enumerated powers. Well the response is that’s an inherent power as the government needs the power to insure the economic life for the country. The war on the middle class is just that in question today; that question being how will the economic life of the country be maintained, either a thriving middle class or slavery through and propagated by an oligarchy? This is what the general welfare clause and other clauses are all about and contained therein.
Let us move to the implied powers. This is where Alexander Hamilton is very strong. It is Hamilton’s Industrial policy under the authority of the implied powers that gave the American middle class the right to exist and protections over other societies and nations; to be protected from job extraction to China and India or invasion from illegal aliens that will debase pay scales and benefits at home.
Unlike Jefferson Hamilton and Washington endorsed a bank of the United States as long as it was part of the government controlled by the Treasury not a private bank which the bankers always fought to get as they wanted and now have complete money power but that’s another story.
In conclusion, to invoke the enumerated powers theory is to deny the Washington and Jefferson administrations. It is to throw out the policies and protections that create a successful middle class and force the fortunate few to pay their fair share. To create those things that would attempt to equalize the money power. Wall St. and the rich are using their money power against the middle class to destroy it in order to feed their greed and bring us back to the society of Charles Dickens. They like to believe and promote a United States history that never was, an anti historical utopian fantasy suitable for people who have absolutely no idea of what their thinking as Tarpley would say. There was never a time when they operated with enumerated powers.
John Marshall Chief Justice of the Supreme Court 1801-1835 a real patriot addressed this very subject when he wrote his opinion that says, “Let the end be legitimate. Let it be within the scope of the Constitution and all means which are appropriate which are plainly adapted to that end and which are not prohibited but are consistent with the letter and spirit of the Constitution are constitutional.” He also adds the Constitution is not a creature of the state. Nullification and such schemes was thrown out by Marshall in 1819 not to mention what happened between 1861-1865 a little matter called the Civil War.
All this denial of American history comes from a far lunatic outer space fringe that harkens back to the foreign doctrine of the Austrian school propagated by the Von Hayek, feudal autocrats, petty noblemen from old washed up empires to quote Tarpley. Beware of those who would throw out American history as it really was.
These people represented by the Republican Party and their Democratic allies are not conservatives they’re right wing radicals who are at war with true history and those who fought to gain an equal footing with the fortunate few in order to create for the middle class a deserved paycheck compatible with the cost of living along with a comfortable retirement.
Those for advancement of the American condition who were on the side of implied powers were such men as:
· Alexander Hamilton
· John Marshall
· George Washington
· Andrew Jackson
· Abraham Lincoln
· Theodore Roosevelt
· Franklin Roosevelt
· Harry Truman
· Eisenhower
· John Kennedy
· Even Thomas Jefferson when circumstances called for implied power through the elastic clause of paragraph 18.
How extraordinary it is to see those like half truth Limbaugh and Glen Beck have opinions about this as Beck comes up with incredible outlandish distortions of history. For example he had a program in which he attempted to rehabilitate Calvin Coolidge; can you believe it of all people.
What we need is an Andrew Jackson to stand as Jackson stood, against the encroachments of aggregated wealth. - William Jennings Bryan
Most people think that the Federal Reserve Note is money equal to all other types of money; nothing could be further than the truth. The Federal Reserve is not Federal and has no reserves. It is a private shareholding company that is a cartel of banks (like a banana cartel); a company that controls the government with great hubris. Remember how they threatened the Congress for the TARP money; much of which went into a bankster’s pocket? Many of our Presidents fought the bank from the winning of the revolution until 1913 when the Federal Reserve Act was passed and signed into law later President Woodrow Wilson said, “I have unwittingly destroyed my country.” He was right. That however doesn’t explain how you personally have been destroyed, nor does it explain the details, so let’s take a look at what this all means by just touching on a few simple points.
I ran across a book of fantastic research written by Dr. Robert Rowen, MD and Ronald P. MacDonald titled “They Own It All (Including You!): By Means of Toxic Currency.”
When silver or gold coin is used to buy property a car or table all Title, Rights & Interest are transferred into that table, car or property. This means that the intrinsic quality passes over into the thing you purchased.
From 1913 to 1933 people still used gold and silver coin along with Federal Reserve Notes with their promise at the bottom which said, WILL PAY TO THE BEARER ON DEMAND, and THIS NOTE IS LEGAL TENDER FOR ALL DEBTS, PUBLIC AND PRIVATE AND IS REDEEMABLE IN LAWFUL MONEY AT THE UNITED STATES TREASURY, OR AT ANY FEDERAL RESERVE BANK. In 1963 that ability to redeem disappeared along with the papers value as a promissory.
Under Title 12 sec. 411 and since 1933 when fiat money started Federal Reserve Notes are the only things used as legal tender most of the time and are obligations of the United States meaning they are a debt. It also bears a hidden lien which represents the creditors’ interest in the note. So the creditors’ interest in a $10 dollar note is 10 dollars, $1.00 is one dollar. So the creditors interest in the FRN’s passed over to right through and is attached or becomes intrinsic in the purchased table, therefore the creditor has an interest or lien amounting to 100% of the note, since the note was used to buy the table the creditor owns 100% of the table.
Look at it this way. When you use gold or silver coin to buy a table you own the gold or silver coin and that value of the coin goes into that table you now have made a clear and honest transaction with the seller; that’s it end of story, the seller goes away with the value of the table in his pocket and you go away with the table. This is important you have all Title, Rights & Interest transferred into that table.
But when you use a Federal Reserve Note to buy the table you are using something that isn’t yours. You are using the corporation of the Federal Reserves’ property and by that action have made a third entity party to the transaction. Let’s call that entity the banker. And since you are using the bankers property to obtain the table the banker has an interest in being paid for being part of the transaction. The bankers interest are the terms he demands for you using his ‘money’; those terms are that there is now a lien on the table and until you pay him say in gold or silver coin for the table he owns all Title, Rights & Interest in the table not you.
Walla! Instead of you as a sovereign holding a promissory note to pay (you) the bearer on demand in silver or gold by presenting the note at a member bank or Federal Reserve Bank the banker has turned it around so that you owe him the silver or gold and until you pay up you own nothing! That’s why he is no longer a banker but has changed into a bankster gangster; let’s just call him a bankster for short.
I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and CORPORATIONS that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs. ~ Thomas Jefferson 3rd president of US (1743-1826)
Since the beginning of the country until the late 1800s corporations were responsible to the people and the people’s watchdog was the government. Back then corporations had to prove to be operating for the public good if not they would be fined, and or have to operate under new laws that corrected the problem or the corporation was dissolved. If a corporation had not completed its mission in 40 years it was dissolved and its assets were sold. Now the shareholders could restart the company but remember this was a time when companies were mostly single mission and not perpetual, that was left to the mom and pop businesses.
In time came Standard Oil and Rockefeller who was cited by the State of Ohio for monopolizing the oil industry using unethical practices. At that time all the states had laws that required corporations to comply with written ethical principals. Rockefeller’s response to Ohio was to say to all the other states, who will have me? That meant who will allow me to operate unethically against other companies and I will give you plenty of money. Upon hearing this states one by one started falling over themselves stripping all the laws opposing the practices of unmitigated greed.
The state governments said we’ll sell our souls and take your blood money. The criminal had just become the watchdogs’ new master. Thus began what is known as the charter mongering laws era. The last state to eliminate such a fine law was Wisconsin in the 1950’s.
Fast forward to Ronald Regan in 1980, with Regan the corporatists took power and repealed the laws that protected society. As the laws restraining greed disappeared the corporate monster grew and the society began a race to the bottom. Since the last two years of Carter irresponsible behavior among the wealthy is running rampant as in the health insurance industry, airlines and many other companies who now freely take the money they should be paying to their employees pocket it for themselves; the result being we have reentered the robber baron era and with the devolution of the congress and Supreme Court et al America is turning into a fascist state.
All this however can be turned back when the people have had enough starting with campaign finance reform. We can start making laws to force overpaid greedy executive employees of corporations to show good order. A CEO should be barred from making more than 30% more than the lowest paid employee. Anyone making more than 12 million per year should be taxed at 92%, Eisenhower did it and it helped build a thriving middle class.
As mothers, we fight to protect our children, and we will fight to protect our country. We don’t want to send our children into an America that has been mutated beynd recognition by massive illegal immigration. ~ Michelle Dallacroce
I suggest you read The Long Emergency by James Howard Kunstler; it is very interesting information. If Obama lets in this next 100 million the human flood will cause the cities to cave in upon themselves, complete with riots caused by taxes, food and water shortages. At that point the middle can’t hold. According to Kunstler at peak and just beyond there is a potential for system failures of all kinds social, economic and political. At peak is the tipping point. Beyond peak things unravel and all bets are off about civilizations future.
Let’s look at a couple of states and the results of no policy restricting immigration.
Colorado is suffering a 4 to 6 million population increase. The water needed to support that many translates to 630.000 acre feet of water. The biggest reservoir only has 254,000 acre feet of water. This is caused by immigration unchecked.
In California the population grows by 1,700 people every day. They add 500 cars every 24 hours. They lose 240,000 acres of land under concrete every year and have been doing that for the last 25 years. The result is farm land is disappearing, the water sheds are vanishing and the debt is strangling the people as the state government allows another 1,700 in every day. The state has to build one new school every day and fill it with paid employees paid for by ever higher taxes and debt. The state is now bankrupt.
The good news is Nebraska and Georgia is working on laws to run the illegal alien out.
According to Frosty Wooldridge illegal aliens in 2008 used 346 billion federal dollars per year across 15 national federal agencies to pay for the medical care, prison, educational services, anchor babies, food programs, lunch programs and assisted housing. In Denver taxpayer low income housing meant for American poor has been taken over by illegal aliens forcing out the Americans. 500 million mortgages are illegal aliens, 2,700 foreclosures per day with much of these due to the illegal alien.
The question for you is how much are you willing to indenture yourself to their debt?
Adding another 100 million from around the world by 2035 we will be a 3rd world country. The American dream will have vanished. We will all be on our knees scrambling for food, water and any kind of subsistence. The middle class will shrink to merely a shadow of its current size.
Health is the greatest gift, contentment the greatest wealth, faithfulness the best relationship.” ~ Hindu Prince Gautama Siddharta, the founder of Buddhism, 563-483 B.C.)
Hey Mr. President what to be popular? Want to bring up your ratings in the polls? Want a second term (maybe)? Well here’s an idea.
Instead of dealing with bought and paid for, partisan politicians who are nothing but sodomites and tapeworms; how about appointing a panel consisting of un-bought doctors, nurses, everyday people of men and women, unbiased and unrelated corporations meaning those on the boards of those corporations are not related to the insurance industry in any way, and we’ll even let one health insurance company executive attend. Since the health insurance companies are all the same in their thinking only one need to represent the industry.
Now Mr. Obama firmly instruct the panel to come up with a health care system that is really for the people and not for any special interests. For example, eliminate anything pertaining to gun owners, the nut scheme titled cap and trade, abortion, rationing, etc. Have the panel include the complete elimination of the wholesale looting and fraudulent premium and service practices currently being imposed on innocent policyholders. Make the tyranny of the health insurance companies illegal. In other words make it similar to Hawaii or Sweden where the law only affects the charges and nothing pertaining to the patients’ personal life. Have a staff to read or better yet read for yourself what they come up with crossing out anything they try to slip in that is counter to the above list.
Do all this and can you imagine how popular you’ll be? How much more your poll numbers would go up? Go up, my friend your numbers will soar! Your enemies will be stunted in their criticism. Many people will start to see you in a more flattering light. Now that’s a way to start your second year.

Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual. ~ Michelle Obama
The economy is getting better. What? Gee I guess it depends how you are getting along. Have you got the money to pay the taxes, bills, every day expenses and still have enough left over to save for retirement and that oh so often rainy day. Well I can tell you that Obama and the politicians are doing all that and much more thanks to the buy a politician system we have degenerated into, but what is the reality of the deregulated global plantation?
Obama’s administration is committed to this fantasy by saying; we don’t want to get into protectionism. So the government slobs will continue to pander to the failed policies of Tom Friedman (manufacturing and trade) and Milton Friedman (economic policy) as they kneel at the feet of the banksters and corporations.
We are going into a greater and deeper depression because the fundamentals haven’t changed. Manufacturing hasn’t come back. Agriculture is being consolidated putting small farms out of business. Mining and natural resources are being shipped offshore. IT, phone and administration services have and continue going to India and India coming here (H1B etc). The airlines continue to slowly implode with degrading service due to deregulation as they morph into the oil industry model. Meanwhile quality airline workers are increasingly hard to find because of starvation wages and vanishing benefits. The only industry making money is the financial industry which is 30% of GNP and they don’t make one penny. But their not finished now they have a new burden called FTZ or free trade zones. The Idaho Governor has given immense tracks of land to the Chinese where they are above all law! The people of course are 100% against this but what does this traitor care? We as a people must focus on the insane corporate profiteering that is destroying the United States society like a crack addict destroys his savings.
In my opinion those in government have failed us and are guilty of sedition for the want and pleasure of their own greed.
