Chicago Politicians – What Tales They Weave

A government, which robs Peter to pay Paul, can always depend on the support of Paul.

– George Bernard Shaw

This just in, in 2015 Chicago will boost property taxes 90%! Chicago’s budget deficit is 650million. The city’s debt for unfunded pensions is 16billion! No matter where you live as you pay your next tax bill consider this. Chicago currently has a “Sanctuary City” policy which runs contrary to American values, thwarts the will of the people and costs taxpayers dearly.

  • Illinois 33 billion dollar plan for its citizens.
  • The state of Illinois currently spends $4 Billion or 7.25% of the state budget on benefits for illegal aliens.

Do not fall for the reforms that Mike Madigan (or your politician) is offering.

For example they now want to put in place the so called ‘spending cap’. It would tie state spending to growth in per capita income. Sounds ok on the surface until you see that it removes 2 things, 1 pension payments and 2 the government can declare a fiscal emergency (whatever the heck that is). Gee maybe they will declare a pension shortfall for the fiscal emergency.

Do you see how the scam works? It’s the same old ship filled with holes in the hull guaranteed to sink. Watch any increase in funding go to more corruption by way of more pet projects and programs as you get more tax bills in the mail. The states surrounding Illinois have a great stimuli, that is the Illinois depopulation and eliminate business program. This has been the most successful state program ever and they are now expanding it with the same old tax and borrow for greed, waste and corruption. Ha they are so compassionate for those in need such as crooked lawyers, contract pals, patronage cronies, way overpaid teaching administrators, illegal alien breaks such as the LINKS welfare program that you and I are taxed for and on and on.

Cut the lavish waste also cut pensions and pay mostly for management but everybody must be included. The only problem is a spending problem.

“There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters.” ~ Daniel Webster

In 1960 JFK beat Richard Nixon for the Presidency in one of the narrowest margins for any Presidential race. Nixon was beaten and a new era of hope was born. This hope changed into reality, a reality of great good.

Dallas 1963 JFK is assassinated by what the government calls a lone nut. The media does not investigate. The lone nut is killed by another lone nut. But in the end neither of them was really alone. No military or professional marksman has ever been able to replicate Oswald’s shot. Vice President Lyndon Johnson rides out the term and is re elected the following year.

In 1967 Robert Kennedy brother of JFK announces his candidacy for the Presidency. On June 5, 1967 Robert Kennedy wins the California primary. He holds a press conference and is promptly shot and killed by another “lone nut” Sirhan Sirhan. The Democratic Party lost their leading candidate, a candidate for labor. The election was won by Richard M. Nixon.

In 1972 Nixon was in the middle of a re election against George McGovern and embroiled in Watergate. Nixon has a narrow lead over McGovern thanks to many votes in the South.

George Wallace an independent from the South announces his run for President; being from the South Wallace takes many of Nixon’s votes. While having no real chance of winning, by being in the race he would insure a win for McGovern; this plan was cut short. On May 15, 1972 Wallace was shot seriously crippled taking him out of the race, thus returning those votes back to Nixon. Nixon wins the election the following November.

Coincidence I think not. I tell you this for you to make of it what you will. We live in a society where whistleblowers are gone after, ridiculed and criticized, but if you ever found yourself thinking something somewhere was wrong you just might be right.
